Latest thing here ...... parents suing their children for support in their old age.

It's a law that was put on the books back in the 1920s ............ the government is promising to withdraw it

so I guess there'll be a few more moms and dads suing in the next few weeks

The one I feel sorry for is the man who was abandoned by his parents when he was 15, the youngest of the family, parents just up and left town, told him he wasn't wanted. He and most of his siblings had no contact with either parent for at least 25 years. Now, 30 years later, Mom is suing him and 4 of his siblings for support. She wants about £150 per month from each of them. Dad is dead.

Don't know... never had one !

Maybe you can't divorce them but you don't have to upkeep them unless they pull their weight.

Actually Michael I blame the fathers! What's the old saying - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? His dad didn't do gardening either.

Tell me ... what DOES the son do ?

Her Ladyship (mother-in-law) has 3 sons and yet her granddaughter mowed the lawn for her last time she was over.

I blame the mothers !!!

Dozey

Dozey Report 24 Jul 2010 22:09

No thanks Michael. Another hour or so would be fine. Bit tired - mowed the lawn (rather badly). Cannot get the kids to do it. Daughter lives too far away and son DOESN'T DO GARDENING!!!
