Desparately seeking any information on a Frederick Clarke. In 1940 he was a chauffeur and met my mother Rita Smith. They had a daughter, Geraldine Rita, who was born at 33 Summerfield Close, Wisbech. Frederick and Rita moved to 9 Hall Place Paddington London. I, Anthony Roy, was born in Paddington in 1943 and on my birth cert, Frederick was allegedly in the Royal Artillery. I have a service number but it does not match Army records. Geraldine and I were taken into "care" by the London County Council in 1944, and sent to foster homes. I traced our mother but unfortunately she died in 1971. |
