Regarding finding Arthur John Freemantle.

Although he was B. in Dc 1898 Portsmouth, i do beleive this is him, even though says B1900.
Apparently he was hated by his step-father & turned away from the Family home just before he joined the forces in 1914. It would have been just like his step-father to put him in an institution.

Thanks once again for the information.

Could you now help me with the Edwards Family - having a job to find them in most of the Censuses because of the surname.

George Edwards (born 1858, Wilton - father John deceased when George, his son married) married Christiana on 16th February 1888 in Guisborough (born 1869? nee Applegarth, father William, can't seem to find her either in any Census). They had several children including William 1891, Thomas 1894 and George,1897 at 21 Cleveland Street, Guisborough (from his birth certificate). I think the father died in 1898 as the three boys were in the poor house in 1901. I can't find the mother and the other children in the 1901 Census. Any chance you can find them in the 1911 Census? I understand that George joined the Royal Navy at an early age and he was living at Buckworth's Yard, Patten Lane, Guisborough at his marriage. He married Annie Jackson in 1821. Can you also find Annie Jackson in the 1911 Census. She was living at 79 Magrove Park, Guisborough when she married (her father, Dave Jackson was deceased by this time).

Please could you look up Charles (possibly E) Russell, born about 1854 in London (possibly St. Martins in the Field) - I believe he was a widower by 1911 as his wife Sarah Grace died in 1908. His occupation varies from Plumber to painter and decorator.

It would be great to see who where he was living with at 1911 and with whom.
