hi margaret manson thank you for that bit of infomation about arnold i,m still following up leads from the infomation from yesterday its brilliant what you both have found although harriet born 1885 is still proving to be elusive at the minute so trying to work on her now i did try the ellis island site to see if she went later but shes not on it so god knows where she went once again all thank you very much for all your help

hi margaretmanson i think it could be a match as both his parents were dead by then mum died 1895 & dad died 1896 & jenny lived with edward till she went to ny jacky

once again thank you choccy & margaretmanson this is brilliant like i said i have been having problems with this branch of my tree from the start i have managed to sort it out over the months but joe & jenny & there sister harriet born 1885 were proving elusive & harriet still is lol can find her birth but no marrige or death was on the verge of giving up on this branch but now with your help i can go a bit further

The 1920 US census has a Joseph Carrick, aged 31 born England, emigrated 1901, naturalized 1919. He has a wife Louise and children Irene, 3 yrs 7 months and Arnold, 10 months. He's a miller at a cereal company.

yep he sure should be there but hes not lol this family have been causeing me problems from the start lol & its just getting mor confusing i,m wondering that with joe been very young when his parents passed away they were adopted out to family memebers but name changed ?? i know jennie was with her brother in 1901 but where was joe in the 1901 & there was no death for him

hi choccy so i,m thinking now that joe is the one she was meeting as i found a birth witch matches on bmd 1888 & i found him on census with his parents in 1891 but after that hes gone not on the ellis island ship list either ?? where to go next bet there having a good laugh at us lot trying to work this lot out lol thanks choccy

I'm ahead of you, Jacky. I also thought that the brother could have been Joe so I looked for a Joe or Joseph arriving at Ellis Island but had no luck. I also couldn't find him on the US 1910 census. He should be there, shouldn't he?
