There are so many Ralphs & so many Entwistle/Entwisle in Pole Lane alone that I think your Ralph probably has died. Ralph, of Ralph & Betty found 1841 & 1851, may be a cousin or some such relative. |

Yes it does. Perhaps Ralph remarried before the 1841 cen & not died? And goingback to the 1841 census it probably is the correct family & includes Arthur the fifth son. thanks |

The 1841 NinjaLady found looks promising. |

don't forget that ages were rounded down for people over age 15 in 1841 so 2 people born 3 years apart would show as the same age |

Iv`ve been told that Ellen was on the 1841 census with five of her 6 boys. And so possibly Ralph had died before then. |

I think Ralph had died before 1841. I dont think its the correct family in 1841 census. Different dob,s & ages |

Not sure but it could be them. Roberts & John look to be twins but could that be Johns dob & not Roberts? Robert i have dob as 1817. |

That's the trouble Ninja Lady - the name Entwistle seems to be more common than Jones |

Hi ann. She was Ellen Shaw (1792) & married Ralph Entwistle (1792?) in 1815in Blackburn. There were five sons Edmund, John Shaw & William. Edmund was the eldest & william was the youngest & i dont know who the other two were. |
