I know that Ancestry do have military records but i'm not sure if they have the Crimean war ones - I looked it up online for you and some websites say the only place you can view them is at the Public Record Office, Ruskin Avenue, Kew, in class WO97.

Because the birth is less than 100 years it cannot be viewed online - His birth was registered in Leith - Edinburgh .. You would need to either order the certificate or go into Register House in Edinburgh to view it.

Unfortunately 1992 is too recent to view a death certificate as they need to be over 100 years old .. There is a death for a Raymond Frank Beverton on SP in 1992 aged 71 Registered in Aberfeldy, Dull and Weem - Perth .. GROS Data No. 385/00 0010

You can order the death certificate - I think it cost's £10 - may be more ..

You could also (depending on where you are) go into Register House in Edinburgh to view it.

Joshua was a Sergeant in the 27th Foot Regiment at Waterloo and John was also a Sergeant in the Royal artillery in the Crimean war.

I would like the birth certificate for my dad - Clement Paterson. He was born in 1938 on 29 March, possibly in Edinburgh. His father was John (middle name possibly Douglas) Paterson and his mother was Jane Meikle.

Would the death cert from 1992 be available to view.

I thought that a Raymond Frank Beverton b.1920 in London and died on the 15/03/1992. We thought he died in South Africa.

I have just found a Newspaper notice on Ancestry giving his address as 12, Rannoch Road, Aberfeldy!

Would love to know any further details, like next of kin or where can I obtain a copy of the death cert.

Can you please look up the death of David Sime, born August 1923, parents were William and Sarah Sime (ms Gray). He died in Greenock Renfrewshire. I don't know when he died, maybe between 1990-2000.
