1911 cenus correct for mary, idon't know anything about christopher gilmore, just he was my uncle when i was small & he died before mary. Mary died 1983/1984.

Its looking good for harry, maybe i'll stick with that theory

Mary Douthwaite was my nana''s sister so i know her name is corrrect.
I only knew her husband christopher gilmore, yes she could of married before but 100% sure she hadn't

When was Mary born?

If it is the Christopher Gilmore born in Salford in 1900 he had a brother Harry who married Elizabeth Goodall. They had a son Harry who dies age 5 in Salford. Is it possible they are getting the brothers confused in their memory?

You need to order the marriage cert and see what Mary's status was.

She might have been married to a Douthwaite previously had the child, who would have remained a Douthwaite.

The childs birth would however reveal something completely different maiden name wise!

Through 2 members of my family (sister & cousin) but they only know they had a child & it was a boy & died young

I cant find a birth for that combination of names.

As Tracey says,maybe born before marriage..

No i havent, but almost sure he was born after marriage, maybe not salford/manchester as mary was born in malton yorkshire
