Find Ancestors

Trying to find the marriage of Owen Reynolds born in 1833 in Galway,Ireland and his wife Margaret. I do not know her maiden name, but they had their first child in 1855 in Middlesborough Yorkshire called Peter.
Any information would be most helpful.

The district Newt Tyne is an alternative name for Newcastle upon Tyne and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear

It may be correct, I think that his wife also came from Galway in Ireland, but I don't know if they got married on Ireland or Middlesorough seen their first child was born there.

I've just followed that couple through the next few censuses, I can't see a child on any of them.

Thanks Clare, this couple had a lot of children born in Middlesborough,Peter born 1855,Dolly born 1862, Owen born1872,Patrick born 1874,Nellie born1877,Michael born 1880,Margaret born 1887and Nora born 1889.Also forgot to mention that Owen senior occupation is a tailor.

Just got these in 1861 - so I'm guessing the Newcastle marriage isn't him! Good to rule it out though.

But, the wife's died..so there couldn't be any more children..unless he remarried obv. But right fathe's name, age is a few years out but born in Ireland. Wrong proffession, and a bit too far east??

Thanks for looking for me Margaret, I would have thought this could be the family, although the head of the family is called Owen and he is a tailor.

By the way, do you have Peter's birth certificate?

Also, I think the last census I posted is a bit of a long shot!

No sorry I don't have his birth certificate Clare, but he was in the 1891 census and it states that he is the son of Margaret Reynolds, although I think by that time I think Margaret Reynolds was a widow by that time.
