I have seen the birth certificate for Rose , Alberts sister and the name of mother is Jane Greenwood.

did you ever get the birth cert for Albert Edward to confirm jane's surname. If her marriage to John was a second marriage it should give 2 other surnames for jane

this is what I have records of,

Albert E Davies b1884 son of john Davies and jane

Davies.

We have been unable to find a marriage for John and

Jane but the1891 census lists John Greenwood as a

Brother in law. julie did a lot of tracking and found Jane

Greenwood

in the 1871 census with her parents and her brother John
.
I wanted the 1841 census checked for Janes father

Joseph for more records on that family. I have included

what I thought relevant from the information I was given.

I have been reading through these 4 pages and am now a little confused with names. I have a v slow broadband and it takes ages to flip between pages.

Please could you summarise what you definitely know working back to Joseph Greenwood.

On GR 1841 census there us a Joseph Greenwood living in Ashton under Lym Lancashire

I am continuing on with this family, could someone please

check earlier census for Joseph Greenwood b abt 1811.

Looking at 3 wives ...spouses T Sykes, and then those 3 Charles E...I am wondering if the Charles E are all one and the same, mistranscribed from original? leaving one man short on the list? If you look on the original record on BMD the "Theile' is written on bottom of page in handwriting but looks like Thick to me,
