I really think you need to look at the possibility that you have gone down the wrong route and that the family in Birmingham is not yours at all. I can only think you have looked for a Lucy who matches and found the wrong person. Speaking as one who knows!! |

Yes all the names & birth dates are correct for the family who moved to B/ham and I cannot find them anywhere else and sorry its her daughter Annie who was illegitimate that was born in the Union Workhouse Berrington, Lucy was born at Simpsons Square Shrewsbury. |

So, I take it you are 100% certain that her family moved to Birmingham? Going a bit mad here! |

Now you know how I feel,-- She was born Lucy and she died Lucy, the family never moved far except for when her parents took the family to live in Aston B/ham and this was after Lucy married. |

There is only ever one Lucy as far as I can see. Is there any possible chance that your Lucy is someone else entirely?? |

This is very peculiar. Would you mind giving us details of "your" Lucy's marriage please? Could do with finding her too. |

Forgot to mention that when Lucy married, she married under the name of Louisa Bennett both she and William signed with the mark of a X, the registrar told me that it was quite common for spelling mistakes because the people concerned could not read or write, but the fathers details are correct for both parties, so I have got the right couple. |

The other person I have been in touch with re: Bennett family has sent me a copy of the internment details which states "Lucy Bennett 46 - 21 May 1913 237 Arthur Street Aston" This is the house that 'my' Lucy's parents were living in at that time. |

This is the 1913 death I take it - the same age as you say. This is very strange isn't it. |

The above marriage is not the correct couple. |
