At this point may I just say then, that I have recently come into contact with my dad's half sister (whom I found through this site) and she states catagorically that at no time did she ever hear her father (William Usher) call her mother (Mary Jane) mary.... he always called her "Dot". I found that confusing as I none of my certificates state "Mary Jane Dorothy".... just Mary Jane!! |

Yeah FBG I don't see anything that could be Dorothy in 1901, and I can't for the life of me find Mary /Jane Patrick in 1911, I think you could be right, well done! |

Sorry FBG... missed your earlier question. Mary Jane Usher was 70 when she died in Ronkswood Hospital, Worcester, 14th June 1962. On the marriage certificate she is stated as 45 years of age - spinster - father not listed. Interestingly her father is not listed on her birth cert either (Mary Jane Patrick - St. John's , Worcester - 4th August 1891). |

Thank you FBG... I already have this certificate. The names listed are.... William Henry Usher (no mention of Patrick) and Mary Jane Patrick. Yes, the marriage is registered in Upton and yes, I do believe it is a different William Henry!!! |
