hi jan &ann sorry i have not replied for a while i have been trying every combination i could think of in the records mary changed ellen to nellie well my last shot 1908 jul-aug-sept elizabeth ellen leicester got married in oldham could she have changed her name what do you think all marys or mary ellen from 1901-1911 got married in warrington

i think i may have to just seen that peters dad william is not on 1901 census his wife is a widow wonder if they died together

are you going to get grandads marriage cert? as if i remember the right years it was after the possible death you have for his father so the cert should say dec'd (i know it still doesn't prove its the right one but does help narrow the year span)

just been on 1881 census to see peter leicster to see if it was his brother ellen may have been staying with in 1911 but his only brother was samuel this is so weird

I haven't been able to find the Arthur/Ada marriage
nor Ellen Leicester in 1911 census as the one i found doesn't have right mother
wondering if the 1911 we had with Nellie 1899 is really Ellen?

the images for edward says Jones p 2635 as well

looked at the 1940 image for arthur Jones (definitely Arthur not Althur) and it does say Dawson p 2635

got to go out now hopfully will get on line later

i wonder if she had a double barrel name i know she was female she made my wedding cake in the 70s unless i can boast the 1st civil ceremony

arthurs 2nd wife was called ada and somewhere there is a iris mum cannot remember if she was adas daughter or ada &arthurs daughter

hi jan just heard back from helen she has no dates but opened her tree we have thomas cropper 1850 &cecelia mercer 1850 have 3 children thomas 1875 ,elizabeth 1876 ,& mary 1880 not oldham but in lancashire about arthur you could be right i found birth for mavis mmn heywood 1933 jul- aug- sept
