Due to nationwide industrial action by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 March, The National Archives will offer a reduced service to the public on Tuesday 9 March.

Visitors will not be able to register for or renew readers' tickets, and document delivery will take longer (up to two hours). We will close early at 17:00, and the last time for document ordering will be 16:15.

Delays are inevitable, and we therefore strongly advise visitors not to visit on 9 March unless absolutely essential. We will be closed as usual on Monday 8 March.
