Sorry, forgot to explain, there are other Thompsons with mmn Davies, but not exactly in Wakefield. With Thompson and Davies being common names, I am not surprised to find others in the surrounding areas. Likely not yours.
I can give you them if you want to check them out but that means spending £7 a time, and most of us have limited resources to spend on certs that are not likely to be our family.
Good luck with the rest of your research.

Howard, there are too many to send, and I don't think any will be of use to you. Unless you have a particular name you are looking for.

Howard
1. we are probably unable to find where he is buried. It will not shown on the birth certificate
2. to find his date of death means searching through records which are on the web ..... and which you could search for yourself up until about 1935/40
Go to www.freebmd.org.uk
This is a FREE site, and you do not have to be a member or register on there.
enter his name, click on death, and enter years Mar 1916 to Dec 1940
then click search
That is covering the period from 1 year before the last year a child was born to the last year that is currently on the web on that site.
You will be better able to sort through all the possible names than we are
The only other piece of information that you have that may be of use is the year of his birth, as age at death is probably shown on the death registation.
If you then find a registration that could be his, you will ahve to buy the certificate from the General Records Office for £7 ........... that is the only way to see exactly when he died, where he died, what he died of, etc.
Be aware that he does have a quite common name, and he may well have died anywhere in the UK, unless you have information to the contrary

I'm sorry Howard, you seem to have switched from wanting future information about a relatively recent family to wanting information about someone born in 1765.
Are you sure you know what you are doing?
I think you'd be better started fron scratch and telling us what you definitely know.
