Hi Sylvia,
"arkendale" is actually the name of a town in Yorkshire
NOT the persons first name. Although you would never know from the way it is written !
So I guess that Howard wants to know anything about a Thomas Thompson, born 1876. Who was born at Arkendale, or lived there at one time

Hi Julcoe
Thanks
I did wonder if Arkendale was a place name!
Too long overseas, my knowledge of English geography is gradually leaving me!

Howard
The best way to get help is to state clearly what it is you want to know, and tell us all the information that you have,
We are all members like yourself, with more experience, and subscriptions to other sites that we can use to find information.
But we are not mind readers!
So the more information you can give us, the more we can help you.
So, really, you are looking for what happened to him after 1901, and if he had any children.
Do you know if he served in WW1?
Have you looked to see if you can find him on the 1911 Census?
You can look to see if he is on the 1911 Census for free yourself, and then either buy credits to look at the record and/or census image or ask on here for someone to look at them for you.
Go to www.fmpbsol.1911census.co.uk/
You need to register, but it is free to do so
Scroll down to Full Person Search and click on that
Scroll down to Show Advanced Fields
Enter his name
For his surname enter Thom and then click on Names starting with (just in case his name has been entered or transcribed as Thomson)
Enter year born +/- 5 years
Enter county of birth
If you find him, then you can think about whether you want to buy some credits (£6.95 for 60 credits), you need 10 to look at a record, and 30 to look at the actual census image.

It is not easy to work forwards once you pass the 1911 threshold, if you don't know anything about the person's life after that date.
Howard, you did not say you knew about him in 1881, 1891 and 1901, and people have been trying their best to locate him on those dates, as well as (myself) in 1911. Of course, I was looking in North Yorkshire where he was born and brought up. You now tell us he married Florence Davies in 1913 and I see that was in Wakefield, which is West Yorkshire. So presumably you can confirm that his father was Peter Thompson, a farmer of Arkendale. Do you think this was his first marriage at age nearly 40? What age was Florence at marriage?
I still can't see a suitable Thomas in 1911.
Assuming they remained in Wakefield, there is a birth of Hubert H Sep 1917, but there are several other births of Thompsons with mmn Davies not too far away in Yorkshire.
There are also several Florence deaths that might fit the bill, depending on her age.
Have you any other information about him or Florence?

In 1911 Thomas Thompson born Arkendale was apparently living in Wakefield, Yorkshire West Riding
The advanced free search shows 50 Thompsons living in Wakefield with another member of the household called Thomas!
I do not have the subscription to see who was living with him, but maybe someone else does have? Or you could buy the crdits to look

Howard, I just search for births of Thompsons with mmn Davies. And Hubert Henry came up.
Might not be right of course.
But glad we found Betty for you.
Any more help you need on this family, just post on this thread.
