Hi - can anyone offer any info at all on the demise of William Norgate? Not sure of his dob, but it's between 1790 - 95, in Ropley, Hants.
He's on a lot of tree on genes, served in the Light infantry during the Napoleonic war & murdered in Houquelliers, Northern France in 1818. Spouse Catherine Moran of Clonmel, Ireland.

There's also some confusion as to his parents & dob - on most of the trees I've seen, he's born 1795, to James Norgate & Jane Long, but I can't find any birth details to confirm that. I believe he was born 1795, to John Norgate & Sarah Windebank (familysearch).

Any info at all that anyone can offer would be very gratefully received!
