My husband's grandmother was Ella (sometimes Ellen) LUCAS, born in Willingham Cambridgeshire in 1895 . In 1914-1915 she was working in London. Ella had a relationship resulting in the birth of a daughter, Stella Elfreda LUCAS, born 14 August 1915 at Prospect Villa, Heath Road, Hillingdon East. A Mrs Baird looked after baby Stella while her mother went out to work. Ella's sister has said that Stella's father was named Jim MORRISON. She said he was either Irish or Australian, and died in WWI. That is all she can tell us. We don't know how true the information about the father is. Another relative has said that Ella went to see the man's mother, but that the mother would have nothing to do with her. Long shot that anyone would know anything more about it, but there it is. |
