Sandra....Will see if I can find out anything relating to Barbara and Archie...in the meantime...have found this...wonder if these are the parents of Aulay Snr. (husband of Ann)

Elizabeth Thompson wife of Aulay McLeod died 22 March 1851 aged 81 years.22 Hamiliton Street.

1851 Census should show them....

Is there any chance of finding Archibald and Barbara in 1891 and 1901 census to look for children, please?

So far I haven't came across a Aulay McAulay BUT,,,, anything's possible in my family.

Well how about "Aulay MacCauley"..now that would cause some confusion...please dont say he doesnt belong to you...!!

Barbara McLeod...(19yrs..1881 Census) married Archie Millar 19 June 1888...18 Nicholson St.
Robert McLeod...(20yrs...1871 Census)...was a sailmaker and Died at Sea 1 April 1880.

Looked for a death on Scotlandspeople ... nothing coming up with the christian name ... Auley.

Could be an old name from one of the islands.
