Hi Cherilyn, I am a new comer to your search, but I am also searching for any records on William McGuinness d 1831 Marries Mary Hancock 1870 at Victoria creek & dies in Canbelego 1906 I have his Marriage certificate & death certificate which states his father was listed as "McGuinness"& his mother was"not known". He had 10 living children & 1 deceased child. I can only presume he was left an orphan, unless someone can come up with any information. I would appreciate anything.
Thanks
Beryl

Cherilyn, It looks like that on the marriage certificate but I wonder!!!! Maybe it is the UK. Maybe the person who wrote it thought it was Australia !!!

Thanks for looking. :-)

Hi Ann

Sorry I don't have access to the electoral rolls. You could try the Ask a Librarian service at the WA State Library?

Good luck! :-)

Hi Jenny

I'm afraid there is no sign of Henry's birth in NSW c1855.
The omly Henry A LEE born in that period was to Wm & Sarah in 1854.
And no trace of a Hy & Elizabeth LEE nee ROSE either.
Is it definitely Newcastle, NSW???

Sorry :-(

Hi Cherilyn,
It's me still on the hunt for LEE's.
Having got my Great Grandfathers marriage certificate I am looking to go further back??
GGrandfather was Henry Arthur Lee who married Annie Bohee on 1st June 1882. It shows him as being born in Newcastle NSW. He obviously came to NZ and lived in Masterton where he got married. I am looking for his father who was also called Henry Arthur LEE and his wife Elizabeth nee ROSE. I think that is the right name from the cert. I am wondering if they came from the UK to Australia and then maybe to NZ or if just my GGrandfather came to NZ.
Just wondering if you can shed any light on this or tell me where to look.
Many thanks
Jenny :-)

Hi Cherilyn

Jasper Strickland was deported from Southampton to NSW on the Admiral Gambier in 1811-possibly with his brother Soloman the images are so feint !

He was born about 1700ish am wondering if there would be any more information about him and what happened to him ?

His wife re married in 1817

Hi Reece

Sorry no luck, definitely no marriage for her in Victoria up to 1888 in any case.

It is quite possible her mother took her with her to America.

Too many John SCOTTs to work out if he remarried or when he died either.

Good luck with your search.
