Still have not been able to find the parents of my Great grandma Annie Moore, so frustrating, cannot take my line back any further. |

Hi Gillian, |

Ellen Jessop is no help she was born 1859 Gosberton daughter of William and Damaris and was a 12 yearold servant in 1871 to Samuel Baxter in gosberton so she looks like a friend of Annie rather than a relative -think we need fresh eyes here!! |

Hi everyone, |

I dont think the Donington Ann is yours -your Ann is shown as b Helpingham in 1861 census and her brothers b Gosberton which explains why she thought she was (and may have been) b Gosberton, but you will only make sense of it, I think with the marriage cert of the other Ann to Uriah Wiles |

It would have helped enormously if you had said at the outset that you had explored the Blanchard theory! |

Up to you, Elaine -it would prove my case or not! I do think I have the right family and so it seems do my fellow researchers but it would be nice to have it confirmed |

Well, if my theories are right her Grandfather was William Moore -so maybe she used that to avoid having to put a different surname to hers for reasons of respectability |

Thanks Cagsie but there is still the Ann Blancher who married Uriah Wiles 1880 Sleaford -if she turns out to be the daughter of John and Rebecca the whole house of cards collapses! |

John appears as Blancher right up to 1901 so it is the year 1871 that is out of sync with Moore |
