Michelle (I see you had missed off the date originally so assumed it was the same one)

in the 1875 marriage that Thomas Seddon married Alice - there are rather a lot of Thomas Seddons in the area. There is someone else doing research on an entirely different family but with similar names.

Cornelius Seddon

Christening: 07 AUG 1864 Wigan, Lancashire, England

Father: Joseph Seddon
Mother: Ellen Seddon

GRO record

Births Jun 1864 (>99%)

SEDDON Cornelius Wigan 8c 61

Deleted the 1850 marriage - seemed too early................

The 6-year gap between Thomas and Cornelius looks a bit suspect - did Joseph marry twice?

you seem to already know quite a bit Hilary. Please could you say what in particular you are trying to find.

Please could you also amend your post to give the correct dates so that it is more readily understandable. I don't think your gg granfather was born 1958! Also I can't find a marriage of Joseph & an Ellen Simm. As you say Thomas was married to Elizabeth Simm (found that one - 1913) is Ellen surname something else?

Hilary

Hilary Report 10 Dec 2009 20:58

I would like to find about more about my ancesters. My father was John born 1916, he had a twin brother Thomas and a sister Maggie and was married to Hilda, his father was Thomas born 1984 , he was one of 3 married to Elizabeth Simm, my great grandfather was Thomas born 1958 who was possibly one of 10 married to Ann Darbyshire, his father was Joseph born 1836 married to Ellen Simm.
