Having sent some birth details of living relatives to someone I then recieve tree details ect replied saying" why do you think we are related I only sent you the details but I am affraid we are not related."
I later explain we only try to help and the likely hood of any reletive seeing her message is vertually nil so I then get this message

Dont you think it would have been a good idea to let people know that you are only helping them in the first place and yes we thought about how quick it was but I do believe your wording on the 2nd email could have been a little more polite. We are only novices at this but I would like to think that we are not rude to people. Please do not contact us again.

so I give up

Hi Jeanie

I'm also pale skinned and have to keep out of the sun ... but I used to have blond hair.

That Help Us thread is in its 3rd go-round ................ it has been deleted twice for reasons unknown.

We started off nudging to keep the tips at the top of the board, then gradually began talking ....... just as we have done on this thread! Which is why I thought you might enjoy it.

One of the ladies on there is 77, one of the men says he is a little older. The rest of us seem to be between 50-ish and those two.

sleep tight

we're just cooking dinner ...... roast pork tonight.

Hi Sylvia

Yes - they're both retired racers - Topper the poorly old chap was 11 in January. You're just a spring chicken then. I'm in my 74th year!

My daughter is only member of my family with a degree. After 10 years working in accounts she became a mature student and got a degree in Speech & Language Therapy. Really proud of her!

I'm suffering the curse of the redhead. Delicate skin. Love the sun but the sun doesn't love me. A short while out weeding yesterday and I'm all blotchy. Covered up today and headed for the cool of a large supermarket in Winchester.

Certainly a chatty crowd on the Help Us to Help You on Tips. Suppose with time you learn who comes from where.

See ya
Jeanie

just seemed like the time to do it!

never looked back

Now you know how old I am :))))

My Melody's birthday today. 7 years old. That's in human years - she's 49 in doggy years so they say. I'll need a mathematician to know when to celebrate her big 50!

Dozey

Dozey Report 23 May 2010 12:48

That's much better. Didn't really take that long, honest!

Sylvia

Thanks for the suggestion and had a look at thread on Tips Board. "small coterie of people" - like your vocabulary! Grammar school, university? :-))))
I'll be pleased to join it. Only too willing to help when I can - which isn't often.

Off to have a long warm soak to ease the old age aches & pains - lovely.

Hi

I'm finally here!

The weather surely does make a big difference.

It's cloudy and sunny here, with the percentages of each changing almost by the minute!

Dozey Report 22 May 2010 09:33

A real joy this morning. Sun blazing down. Hawthorn blossom coming out and with copper beech against the other green leaved trees an absolute picture. Good to be alive. I know we go on about weather a bit but it makes such a difference to how you feel doesn't it?
