Wheatley's of Reading c.1800

Hi, we are trying to trace any info regarding Edmund (Edmond) Wheatley born c.1789 in Reading, Berks.
He married Sophia Wise, 1811in Tilehurst Berks.
They had 5 children -
Joseph William 1812
Ann Maria 1813
Samuel Sidney 1820
Thomas Christopher 1822
Edmund 1827
They were resident in St Marys, Reading at least until 1827, then there is no further record of him. I have not been able to find him in the 1841 census so he probably died between 1827 & 1841. Sophia died in 1845 in Wokingham.
One thing that did strike me, there is a 7 year gap between Ann and Samuel, during this period the Berkshire Regiment were posted to St Helena to guard Napoleon. Does anyone have the facility to run the the Regiment list for me?
Any help or info about him or his ancestors would be appreciated.
