Looking to share information for the Cotton Family originating from Tipperary Ireland. My Ancestor Richard Cotton B 1813 was sent to Australia in 1831 aboard the ship "Jane". His Uncle Peter Cotton was also sent as a convict to Australia in 1830 aboard the ship "Hercules".
Richard had the following siblings:
Michael, Thomas, George, Bridget, Johannah, Daniel (the Youngest), and Peter Cotton. Likely all born in Tipperary. There may be other children, but we are only listing those who were discussed in a letter written in 1854.
We know some went to New York and others went to England. Would love to hear from anyone who may be connected to the Cotton Family in Tipperary! Cheers, Jo Aus
