Derek

Derek Report 10 Dec 2011 18:33

Hi Gooner.....RVP strikes again eh!!!

I think you must have at least six deep freezers filled with various Pork products..cos your lot seem to have monopolised the retail thereos throughout the Midlands!!..More pork Butchers!!

Ok..I found a tree on Ancestry that more or less tells some of the story, but its got so many holes in it that I decided to check it over minutely......using valid records.....Church broughton Pr's backed up by IGI and Census returns.....so her goes with the FACTS!!

SAMUEL ALLEN married Jane (ALLEN?) 23,05.1820..There are allegedly SEVEN children only five of which are substantiated by PR's:_

Emma..21.02.1822..married Robert hudson 17.08.1846 St Werbergh
Samuel 10.02.1824
Sarah 07.06.1829
Charles 02.071826
David 07.08.1831..

The two unsubstantiated children were Anne and Jane.

SAMUEL ALLEN (aka randy old goat) then went on to marry MARY SLACK 02.08.1838 at St. Werbergh,s..she was born 1817, baptised at Barton Blount 10.04.1818..daughter of Richard and Anne (nee Roe)

There are two further unsubstantiated childre.. Elias and Samuel (will come back to Samuel later)

There is also ANN SLACK 1837-1921..baptise 22.10.1837 at Church Broughton..daughter of Mary..clearly illegitimate..but whether it was sexy Sam casting his oats or not is unknown..Ann Slack married one Samuel Middleton 02.04.1826
The chikdren (confirmed) of Samuel and Mary were:-

Louisa 09.12.1838..married Charles Kent 08.11.1864 Derby
Francis 19.09.1841..married Eliza Bull 20.02.1860 Church Broughton
Trevor 28.02.1847 (died 1931) married Annie Morley 14,07.1868...both aged 18.
George 08.11.1857..unconfirmed marraige 1884 Walsall
Andrew Jacob 12.05.1861..married a Clara Sargeant..date unknown..of Walsall....In 1901 Andrew and Clara were living with Clara's parents who were bleedin' Pork butchers in Walsall......

There ia also Edwin Allen born 1853 Church broughton son of samuel..this is on his marriage entry when he married catherine Anne Hodges 14.09.1880..so although i haven'y found his birth i ma happy he is one of the confirmed children of Samuel and Mary

Com=ng back to SAMUEL born 1845..almost 100% a confirmed son of Samuel and Mary.....simply by a bit i=of kateral thinking from examining census....He too is a Pork Butcher married ot a Susannah...and he Francis and George all seem to be involved in the same butcher's shop in Walsall.so sort that lot out my dear..whilst i go and watch Strictly with a pork sausage sandwich!! xx

Derek.

Hey Gooner!! Mary Sick???????lol

Samuel was an old goat!!!! Baptised 08.01.1798..married Jane Allen 2.05.1820..and had loads of sprogs with her...then on 23.05.1838 married MARY SLACK!! who was born 1817!!! like 19 years younger than him..then used her delicious young body to breed several more kids!!!!! He was buried at Church Broughton 17.11.1881.............He was a Farmer..randy old goat!!
