There is a marriage record for them on Ancestry. They were married in Marylebone London. Fathers given name is William . The person I am talking to is a direct descendant through their daughter Louise Measham. |

Thanks Derek, this is a good warning to anyone who believes information passed to you is correct without checking it out. I will now get back to this person and see if they actually believe me. If they don't it will be their tree that is wrong and not mine. |

Hi Gooner...........I think you're right to reject it..there is no such guy...amy number of henry's and/or robert's............The nearest can get is Robert Measham 1847 Derby....a lodger aged 4!!..there must have been something very odd gong on (even for the measham's!!) for him to have any relationship to William and Mary....which begs the question as to why any child is a lodger at the age of Four.....the obvious call is an illegitimate child who's mother died in or shortly after childbirth..or a foundling.........but certainly not the child of William and Mary...if only because Elizabeth was baptised 01.06.1849 at Repton'' so unless she was a late baptism...another child born 1849 appears biologically impossible. |
