Hi Liz..sorry to keep you waiting..this is a thorny one.......a "submitted" and therefore dubious IGI entry gives a marriage for Joh "before April 1802" at All Saints Derby............not so..He dcoes not appear in those Records......another entry mentions St Werburgh's..not there either....

In case you don't have them:-

John baptised All saints 16.04.1802
Sampson 25.12.1805 St Werbergh's Derby
Anne 06.04.1807 All Saint's
Amos born 15.02.1809 christened 05.08.1809 at Brookside Chapel independent Derby...!! (why suddenly go non-conformist??)

Henry i cannot find.

I'll have a nose around for you.

Derek.

Hello Mandy..I can confirm the marriage of Martha Ringrose in 1864 from BMD's.......and there is a reference number from which it would be possible to purchase the Marriage Certificate.........it was registered Belper..which means nothing because Belper was the registration Destrict for several places in the Parishes of Duffield and or Alfreton.

I would need to search Parish records at Matlock next time I go.

I am interested in Martha Ringrose, because i don't think
she was born in Derbyshire. I can find no record of her there, but there are several possibles in Lincolnshire......which is where the Ringroses in my family tree come from!..but first apearances do not link her to my Tree.

Hi Derek
I'm looking for details of a marriage between Samuel Sutton and Martha Riingrose. It's registered in Belper, but I think it's more likely to have taken place in Alfreton. I am looking for a father's name for Martha. if poss.
Any help would be much appreciated
Mandy

Hi Derek,

Did you manage to find any information regarding my gggg grandfather John Walker and his marriage to Ann. Their children were John b 1802 ,(my ggg grandfather) Amos Walker b 1809, Sampson b 1805, Henry b 1811 and Anne b 1807 (she was unmarried in 1851 in London).
If you can give me any further information on this family I will be most grateful.

Thank you
Liz

Derek
Do you have anything which relates to Rolleston Hall, Rolleston Derbyshire ?
My Grandmother visited there in 1930 I believe to visit her brother Sidney Borrill and would love to be able to prove the connection. He may have been a gardener there, as he was a gardener when living at home with his parents.
