Trying to trace my 3xGt. Grandfather Michael Murphy. Moved from somewhere in Ireland. Was a ship builder's labourer who met and married Mary McKenzie in Evanton, Kiltearn, Ross and Cromarty. They then moved to Aberdeen. Cannot place him (very common name) before his marriage in 1852. Did he enter Scotland via Glasgow? Or did he land in North Scotland from Northern Ireland? He could have had a shipbuilding family history. Cant place him in 1851 census, only one I can find is too young. Help!
