thanks Maureen, I was just about to post this
From Ancestry PR, which matches up with Thomas Robinson and Margaret Priddle’s gro ref.
Thomas Robinson - Gent Age: Full Age Estimated Birth Year: not shown Spouse Name: Margaret Priddle Spouse Age: Full Age Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 13 Nov 1841 Parish: Saint Mark, Myddelton Square County: London Borough: Islington Father Name: Thomas Robinson - Gent Spouse Father Name: Thomas Priddle – builder
I’m beginning to wonder if Thomas met and married ‘his’ Caroline while stationed in Barbados????

Ann Mary ROBINSON's baptismal record shows her birth as : July 19,1849 I'd really be tempted by this one: FreeBMD Births Sep 1849 ROBINSON Ann May Clerkenwell 3 74???? (not sure I agree with this-the image looks like it might be 84. Can someone look?
Also-that 1841 Clerkenwell marriage for Thomas ROBINSON was to Margaret PRIDDLE.

Have you actually got the MC? Because the image of the PR book shows that on 27 Oct 1841, Caroline Standart Hunter married John William Mortimer.
If your MC shows differently, then I can only assume that when the records were copied for the register office, they were mistranscribed.
If you want to pm me with your email address, I'll send you the link.

good point Shirley!! I don't have access to that.
This could be Annie’s bap
Ann Mary Robinson Record Type: Baptism Date: 22 Apr 1853 (b 19 Jul 1849) Father's Name: Thomas Robinson Occ – Sergeant of the Militia Staff Mother's Name: Caroline Robinson Parish: Saint Pancras Parish Church Borough: Camden County: Middlesex Residence – Dukesfield Terrace
This is getting very frustrating! I can’t seem to find a birth registration for an Ann Mary Robinson, so if anyone else feels up to the challenge, feel free. If that could be found, you could order that and it would give her mother’s maiden or possibly former name if she was married before.
I understand where you got the gro ref for Caroline Standert Hunter and Thomas Mortimer – but the marriage from PR I gave you shows that particular Caroline married John Mortimer.

Do you have the bc for any of the children which gives her name as Caroline Slandert formerly Hunter, or are you relying on cross referencing BMD?

Presumably this is the marriage you were told about Caroline Standert Hunter Age: Full Age Estimated Birth Year: abt 1820 (presumed as just says Full Age) Spouse Name: John William Mortimer - merchant Spouse Age: Full Age Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 27 Oct 1841 Parish: Saint Mark, Myddelton Square County: London Borough: Islington Father Name: John Hunter - gentleman Spouse Father Name: John Mortimer - dead
Witnesses – W Hunter, Frances Mary Mortimer, Frances Beal Grooms residence – Dalston, Brides - Myddelton Sq
If you have her bap in Portsea, why are you looking for one in St Pancras?
