My Grandfather was a merchant seaman stoker on this ship when it hit a mine laid by the German Ship Wolf off the coast of New Zealand in1917, with no loss of life. A group of NZ divers dived onher last year and the bell was recovered, positively identifying the ship as the Port Kembla. I have a couple of photographs I'd be happy to share. Is there anyone out there who is also related to someone who sailed on this ship.
