ah, i think i have looked at these before, and i think Laura changes her name too, at a later date. Is there anyway of finding out what happened to Laura, if she left home with her child ect, or married?? |

Laura is described as daughter on this census. Perhaps her mother was called Freeman and then married again to Mr. Waddington. |

On the image for the 1891 census that RamblingRose has given, Laura's surname is actually Freeman and not Waddington. |

thank you. I thought it would have been something like this. This seems to be very common for young men to do, especially when wanting to leav home ect. I just dont understand why my grand father started in New York. Could he have stowed away? Would there be anyway of finding this out?? x |
