Good morning
I have a feeling the answer to my question is going to be a 'no', but here it goes...

Is there any way to search by surname to confirm if a relative was in British navy, during the the 17th century. I do not have specific, ie ships name etc. My family is full of people who served in both the army and narvy in recent history, but wondered if i could research further back?

Any help would be much appreicated

Thanks
Bev
