I'm looking for the marriage of Arthur George Bernard Hutchinson Hauff b june 1890 Sunderland Durham UK...
A spelling change from Hauff to Haugh was implemented.. I know he married Mary ???.... I only knew of his wife as Mollie.
In1924 he was living with his mother Mary Hannah (Hutchinson) Haugh ...Malvern, East, Henty, Victoria....later 1931/1936 Kew, Kooyong, Victoria.
His father was Reinhold /Reynold Charles Henry Hauff/occ Engineer (Marine)
There is Mary & Mary Hannah Haugh on the Aus Electoral Roll by 1931..
So his marriage should be somewhere between 1926-1931...I hope!

I have found the following entry in the Vic marraige index,but unfortunately gives very little info:

Family Name: HAUGH
Given Name: Arthur George
Spouse Family Name: Webber
Spouse Given Name: Mary
Registration Year: 1924
At least you know Marys maiden name and the year they were married.

This time I'm looking for William Hutchinson Haugh or Hauff... marriage to Eva Hobson ???? ...William was born in 1893, father Reinhold/Reynold Charles Henry Haugh/Hauff... I am unsure when he married Eva & I dont have anymore info so its a bit of a longshot, sorry.

Abode with Eva, 1931 - 1936 :-51 Wright Street., Middle Park, Melbourne Ports, Victoria, Australia. William was a chemist.

I am trying to trace the UK origin of (a relative?) John RAWLINGS who I found on a Aus passenger list, ship arriving from Plymouth to Bundaberg, Queensland.
RAWLINGS John, 19, Scottish Knight, 13 Oct 1886, IMM/125 29 Z1966 M1705

He married (1891/C1909) Davies. Alice, Jane in Aus.

They had a son (1894/C10477) Rawlings. Victor, Burge who came back to the UK with the Australian Imperial Force during WW1 and married an Ivy M Rawlings, in 1920,Taunton 5c 570. Ivy is related to my father.
I think that the John Rawlings above was born in Stogumber, Somerset in 1867,the son of John Rawlings, born 1830 and Harriet.
So I am deparate to possitively identify him, either by passport or immigration papers or some other means.
Can you help?

John Rawlings and Alice Davies were married in QLD on 17-3-1891.
They had 2 sons named Ernest John Rawlings born in QLD on 28-12-1891.
and
Victor Burge Rawlings born in QLD on 15-7-1894.

There was a J.Rawlings also who was a hotel owner/manager ? of the
Yandaran Hotel, Yandaran in QLD in 1918.

But i couldnt find anything on him from the UK

Many thanks for the information,
I've just received Victor Burge Rawlings wedding certificate in the post.

It lists his father (John) as a railway employee in Aus.
Their address is "Isis Junction,North Coast Line,Queensland"
I think I'm going to have to track him down by investigating UK passport applications or Aus immigration papers.

Steven. I don,t know if you can help .I onlypass the impossable on . I have a Florence H Barsby bn 1916 Wellingborough Northamptonshire ,Eng. There is no trace of her after ,Now in the war years did she meet up with someone ,and go abroad .There is one Florence marr in Wisbech ,but she was bn there 1915 . I can but hope .Thank You .Robert

I have an Ethel Mayers born abt 1893 Melbourne Australia

Shes with her grandmother in England 1901 census age 8 her father was British ,can you find her birth not sure which of the grandmothers sons was her father.

I wonder if you can help me? I am looking for imfomation on Henry Walter Scott Douglas, I think he was from England? I dont know his date of birth of death only that he married Maria cook on the 19/02/1869 in Fremantle WA. Maria was born in England on the 15/01/1849 in Woowich.

There is no Ethel Mayers in the Vic Births.
There is a Ethel Meyers born 1898..but thats all i can find..

Not sure if you cover Geralton, not sure where in Australia it is.I have a Elizabeth Boucher with a Henry Bone in 1885 when they had their first child But not sure if they married,she was born in Worcester England in 1858
