Just wondering whether anyone has an ancestor who studied or taught at St. Mark's College, Chelsea or St. John's College, Battersea (the latter at times being known as The Battersea Training College).
I am currently acting as the archivist at St. Mark's and St. John's (the two combined in 1923) now based in Plymouth.
We are always delighted to hear tales of old staff or students and of course can help with searches of our own records. IF YOU NEED OUR HELP IT IS FREE OF CHARGE - THE SEARCH, THE PHOTOCOPIES/SCANS ETC. - ALL FREE.
We are able to help with more than just a college record. Our information on our past students in most cases extends well beyond the time they studied at either college. It can be of particular use to anyone interested in their ancestor's military service. Our photographic holdings may also be of interest - they extend back until the 1850s.
