My great grandfather left his young wife and two daughters in 1908. I have looked on the 1911 census to try and find him. ARTHUR BROWN BORN 1881 - 1882 LEEDS there are only three possibilities, one is too young and one has a middle name which would have been on his birth and marriage certificate, so it only leaves one.
This ARTHUR BROWN is still living in LEEDS age 30 with wife? Jane also age 30, they have two children Cecil and Clara age 3 and 1. Could someone look at marriage records around 1907/8 to see if Arthur Brown did in fact marry someone by the name of Jane in Leeds Yorkshire. They may have just lived together I suppose as my Arthur Brown remained married to my gt grandmother Ellen. If I could get the marriage cert for Arthur and Jane it would prove if it is the same man as his father was called Solomon Brown and that would be on the certificate. Thankyou
