I'm trying to find out who took my gr grandfather in after he was orphaned in 1874 in Winchester. I know from the family that it was an uncle and not a happy relationship. By 1881, at abt 16, he was in London as a servant.

What are the chances, do you think, that the local newspaper might have reported the butcher/publican's death, with accompanying details? Like everyone else who died prematurely in this family, he died of TB.
