I am looking for my great grandfather Thomas Kavanagh and cannot find him from 1881 census but he married in 1894 in Lanchester Co Durham and had two children in 1896 and 1898.I have searched for years and can find no listing for him or his wife and family in the 1901 census. wife's maiden name Margaret Mc Coy. Why would a whole family not be on the 1901 census?
Any help would be so great so can you help me please?

Thankyou for your suggestions I don't think it will help me as 1861 census has them in Kimblesworth Co. Durham Wife's name is Margaret born 1828 +6 children amongst them my great grandfather.

Thanks for your help but this is the wrong Thomas Kavanagh.
My Thomas Kavanagh was born approx 1865 in Ireland i believe although he is listed as being born in Wrexham and Spennymoor on the 1861 and 1871 census respectively.
His parents were John and Catherine Cavanagh and he had only one brother named John born 1870 in Ferryhill. I believe he had a brother that died named Lawrence born 1866 in Annamoe Ireland (batch no.C701287 Family Search).
The 1881 census has them living at 2 Ratten Row Crook Co Durham. He/they cannot be found on the 1891 census or thereafter.
His marriage details are as given earlier but he and his new family cannot be found on the 1901 census either. His children were Catherine Bridget Cavanagh born 1896 in Gateshead and his son John Thomas Cavanagh born 1898 and died 1900 in Newcastle upon Tyne Infirmary. His parents in 1901 were living in Easington Co Durham.
I cannot find the family at all and no death listing for Thomas anywhere. Margaret, his wife, died in 1946 in Gateshead. Margaret, nee McCoy. remarried in sep qtr in Newcastle 1902 to a Patrick Mc Intyre and they had one daughter Suzannah born earlier that year.
I have searched and searched and cannot find his death anywhere at all, although i believe he was born 9.4.1865 in Annimoe Co Wicklow Ireland the same as Lawrence.
I did find a Thomas and John Kavanagh in the First Leinster Regiment in the Boer War - Thomas havind died there according to the St Catherine's records in 1900 - but have been unable to verify if this was my Thomas.
I am desperate to know where and when he died so any help would be wonderful and i would be eternally in your debt.

Hi I am stuck on a numbe of things and would really appreciate your help.

1st looking for marriage cert. for Joseph Thornton and Jane ? Lunesdale area around 1822. and or Birth details of Joseph.

2nd George Eric Turner born 1919/20 in Lancashire. fathewrs name was John I am desperate to find out anything about this family They were living and working in St Annes on Sea in 1940
This is my father and I do have his marriage cert. to my mother.
Please any help would be great.

Lydia CLEMENTS born 1861 Thorndon,Suffolk.
Her parents Robert & Hannah - siblings Mary,Anna,Sophia & John.
Cannot find Lydia on any census nor marriage nor death,
ANYTHING would be appreciated.

I have Marriage lines for John Turner Mary Elizabeth Copple. married Salford 1914.
Alao birh cert, for George Eric and detals of his siblings.
Now looking for Marriage between Elizabeth Iraland and William Owen 1915 could be Lunesdale or Liverpool area.

Are you still available for lookups, my information is very scant trying to help a friend find a Florence Langley, who married and became Florence Barker, London, that's all we know, we believe Florence was run over and killed by a tram in London in or about 1923.
