It does seem that some came down to Dorset ( weymouth) It seems that him and Thomas were Coastgaurds ive located which station Thomas was at, he ended up in faversham Kent but as for Christopher he seems the missing puzzle. We know Christopher married Arabella Elizabeth Hardy but at a total loss about Christopher Pover. I believ he was born in Preston |

It may be that he was only in the workhouse as a patient as they were often used as hospitals. |

Isn't that sad? When he seemed to have so many children that he died alone, a pauper, in a workhouse! |

BVRI has 10 children of Christopher and Arabella between 1832-1858, the first 3 born Wyke Regis, the rest born Melcombe Regis. Do you have them? |

I think i got something wrong. Christopher and Thomas were in fact brothers and both coastguards. Ive traced Thomas and he was at Luddenham coastgaurd. married Elizabeth Cox. childrenwereElizabeth b 1828, martha b 1830, william b 1832, ann 1834 and married Walter Histed , Harriet b 1837 Thomas b 1839, Edwin b 1843 and Henry Edward b 1846. But now trying to trace Christopher Pover and parents of Christopher and Thomas |

I don't think you're wrong. You have electronic proof that a Christopher & Arabella Pover were living as man & wife in Weymouth in the censuses. Also that the Wyke Regis parish records have a Christopher Pover & an Arabella Elizabeth Hardy marrying. If anything I would think the Bishop's Transcripts or their transcriber may be in error. |
