I am currenlty trying to find information regarding one of my Great Grandmothers, Mary Ellen Patterson. From what we can tell she was born in around 1898, in Scotland, (we have a birth certificate), and had one brother. She married a George Shearer in Blythswood, Scotland in 1924, and had, we think, two daughters. She later left George and had three children with Jack (John) Punter. My grandmother, the youngest of the five children, would like to know what happened to her eldest sisters, who she has not seen since she was a young child. She seems to recall one the girls was called Doris Shearer, and they would have been born during the 1920s. |
