Hi Lorraine
Thanks for those census records. The letter was dated Dec 18th 1868 and was from Happy Camp (where you found him on the 1860). He writes in the letter that he was the Deputy Sheriff of Del Norte County? He was appointed in 1858 and held the post from then till this letter, although he mentioned 2 years he wasnt elected 1863-65 No one knows where he went to after 1870? He is listed as a Carpenter Journeyman on the 1841 census in England. He was the 3rd Great Grandson of Thomas Marchant the Diarist. The letter was sent to his brother and sister. He lists himself as a Democrat and having many enemies because of his rank but also many friends in the county. Do the children show on the following census?
This is all i have on him. Thanks for your help.

Hi Lorraine
I do not have access to USA records so was wondering if you could please see if you can find any information on the following ancestor of mine: George Morris born July 1822 in Laughton Sussex. I have information that he was last seen on the USA 1870 census with 2 small children George Morris aged 7 and Mary Morris aged 5.His occupation listed as a Carpenter. In the Happy Camp California area. I am interested to see if he shows after this census? or if there is a death for him? and also if you have the records, i would like to know when he went to USA?He was also a Deputy Sheriff of Del County and i found letters he sent online, so rather intrigued by him.
Your help is much appreciated.

Hi Lorraine, I have noticed on the information you gave me on page 58 about Amelia, that her son Bruce is travelling back to England with her but he doesn't appear to have travelled to Canada with her when she went there, it's only showing Nancy and James?

Hi Lorriane
A few months ago you were very helpful in tracing my Great Uncle to Canada for me.
I have since been in touch with a 2nd Cousin I had no idea about - Thankyou.
In all my Great uncle made 11 Atlantic crossings & I have been able to trace 7 of them but am stuck with the other 4 & wondered if you could help please. The following are the details that I know of these 4 crossings.
Name William Gladstone Walton - Born Birmingham 1869
He left Liverpool on 10.6.1892 for New York
He departed New York for Liverpool arriving in Birmingham 4.12.1899. He travelled with his wife, Daisy Alice & their two small children John & Grace.
They returned Liverpool - New York around July/Aug 1900
The final journey was New York - Liverpool arriving Liverpool 29.11.1906. William travelled with his son John.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tim
