Lorraine,

Thank you soooo very much for your help with William Gadd - amazing information.

Are you able to find out where he was after WW1 - would love to know if he stayed abroad after the war or if he died over there.

Also any further info on the Rev would be great - like when he went to Canada. He may have been born in Ockham, Ripley / Send / Woking or Cobham Surrey. There were loads of John Gadds in the family then so would be graet to finfd out which one he was, as several of them were brought up in church cottages in Surrey.

Thank you again xx

In 1922 according to their marriage cert. Joseph was 25 and Mary 21.. At that time they were living in Bristol.

Hi Lorrain, re my Patrick J Grant, that sounds very hopeful. Only thing I've got for him I'm afraid is a record of his birth.

He was born in Belfast June 1878. He is the brother of my ggrandmother Julia Grant born October 1879. Mother and father Owen Grant and Ann Carroll.

I had heard that Julia emigrated to America but I haven't been able to find anything on her. She may have been married before she went if she did go to the States of course and I have no married name. She lived in Glasgow 1903 and her address given as Glasgow Caledonian Central Station hotel where she was a domestic servant.

many thanks to you looks like it could be him. Could you give me a way of following up that entry?
Margaret

Dear Lorraine
I have an Eva Jane Skelton (Holland) born 1882 Berkshire. I understand she emigrated to Canada in the late 1950s and died in Oct 1965 in Sark. Canada but have no evidence can you help?
Her daughter Eva Annie Tweddell (Skelton/Williamson) had emigrated in Jul 1954 to Saskatchewan, Canada with her husband Frank and two children Marion and Roger. She died in Fort Qu'Appelle in 1997, Frank had passed away in 1977. Roger changed his name to Roger Daniel Williamson in 1996 and i think died the next year. Marion died in July 1999.
Any information/evidence you could help with would be of a great help.
Stephen
