Hi Lorraine
Thankyou for all your efforts on my behalf, it is very much appreciated.
I do have news on this front though... After my initial posting some kind person added further info. re: John William Rabbit + Ada. Somehow they managed to find him on 1911 Canadian census mistranscibed as William Babbit & with wife Ada , living with his older brother Alfred + his family. I don't know how people find things like this...it amazes me ! All the accompanying personal info. matches-up almost perfectly, so i am now certain 100% that it is correct. So for now it seems i will not be able to find out when they died.
Hopefully new info. will come online in the future that may shed light on what became of them !
Regards
Roy

Hi Lorraine
A request please - Would you lookup your Canadian resources and see if you could find any more details of an Arnold Wright b 1879 Neston, Cheshire UK who homesteaded in Regina Sasketchawan area for a few years - this is what I do have on him: 12/01/1916 - Living in North Annex, Regina, Sasketchewan, Canada with wife Mary Ann at time of signing up for Canadian Exp. Forces. Names: WRIGHT , ARNOLD Regimental number: 511225 Rank: SGT Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 10592 - 47
In the 1901 Census he is living in Liverpool UK and he married in 1905 in Liverpool, Lancashire - so wondered if there where records of arrival/departure or other records in Regina re his homesteading era. Had 2 daughters - Lillian Barbara b1907 in Liverpool and Frances Bookhout b~1910 (Unknown where born). Family lore is that Arnold & family tried homesteading 2 or 3 times - but he had ants in his pants and returned to UK - his wife got fed up with this and refused to go with him anymore and settled with children in Liverpool!
Thanks for any info you can unearth for me.
Regards - Chris

Hi Lorraine,
I have just received info. this evening via a posting on GR that my 2 x great aunt & her husband emigrated to Canada.
John William Rabbit (b. 1874 , Aston area of Birmingham , Warwickshire ) & wife Ada ( b.1876 also in Aston , as Ada Butlin ).
Left Liverpool for Quebec , Canada, on the " Corsican" to arrive in Canada on 26 May 1911...it was stated that she was going to join her husband in Hamilton , Ontario .
I do not have any further info. As far as i know she travelled alone ( i do not think that they had any children in England...they married in 1903 ).
I am wondering if you have access to Canadian death lists , & if so, can you find out what happened to this couple or if they had any children in Canada.
I should add that their surname is also written as Rabbitt , Rabbett & Rabett.
Thankyou.
Roy

Hi Lorraine, Re the Renauds.
Unfortunately I do't know where they lived. They could still have been in the States in1880 as I don't have any definite dates when the last child was born in France except a guess at his age. They did not got here till 1884 which would suggest they were there longer.
Don't know if that helps? Kind regards Sie

Hello Lorraine, I don't know whether you can help me or not as I don't have enough information to go on but I am looking for my Uncle Leslie Mark Green born 1914 Dover Kent. I don't know if he was married but I was told he emigrated to Canada. His two brothers emigrated in the 60's and 80's and they went to Vancouver so it is probable that he went there to. I have just checked once again for marriages and their are three but I couldn't say if any are the correct ones as I don't know where he was living. Kind regards Julia

Hi Lorraine
My grandfather George Alfred White b 1878 came to England from Canada supplying horses for the army during WW1. He is reported by family members to have travelled back and forth to Canada during the war. He married my grandmother Caroline O'Rourke in 1917 and then settled in England dying in 1929. I do not know any details of his family in Canada except his father's name from the marriage certificate, which was George Alfred White (deceased). I was wondering if you could check on the passenger lists for that period to see if he appears. It might give me a base to start searching Canadian records. I would be really grateful for any help as I have not dug up any concrete clues yet.
Thankyou
Regards Linda
