Peggy C Barker born 1922 Croydon we have found out married a GI and went to the USA, the only marriage I can find that might fit is to a Clarence B Olson at Ipswich SQ 1945.
Could you please look to see if there is anything on them.

Hi Loraine

I don't have him on UK census' as he was at sea with his wife most of the time, their children seem to have been looked after by relatives so they don't appear with them on the 1891 or 1901 census with the kids. Not to worry, maybe he was still captain of the passenger ship so wouldn't appear on any census record, apreciate all your efforts though.

Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for trying just had a feeling he had gone over as a Civy as on his Attestation Papers he states he belongs to an Active Militia that being his Former Corps being the 55th Irish Canadian Rangers .. so looks like he was in the Militia before .. will have to try and find out more about the Irish Canadian Rangers and see if I can trace him coming over from the UK.

Just wish I could find something about him before 1916.
