From Julie
Hello lorrainne, My Gt Grandfmother's brother was called George William Pugsley. born 1863 in Bermondsey Surrey. He died in 1931 his wife Deborah was not mentioned on his death cert ...his daughter registered his death.
George W Pugsley married Deborah Samuel in Southwark Surrey in 1896. I have then on the 1901 together. When the 1911 census came out I could not find George & Deborah Pugsley living together.
On the 1911 Census I found my Gt great Aunt Deborah Pugsley. as a Widow living with a niece & the daughter (who registered her father's death). Also living with her was a friends child Albert Hutt. (age 5)
I have looked for a remarriage I have also looked for her death over the last 5 years but nothing!
Then I found a Deborah Pugsley on a passenger list, also travelling with her is Albert Hutts age 15 ......the boy on the 1911 census
Passenger transcript details Name: Deborah PUGSLEY Date of departure: 26 May 1920 Port of departure: Liverpool Passenger destination port: Quebec, Canada Passenger destination: Quebec, Canada
I wonder what became of them ? On the passenger list it states Deborah Pugsley age as 54 born in 1866 but as far as I now she was born in 1872.
I wonder what became of them ? Did she me marry? When did she die?I would be greatful for any information. Regards Julie
