Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am trying to find the birth of my ancestor John Mason - he was born in Sharnford or Hinkley Leics (he gives both as birth places on different census returns). His father was also John Mason a farmer. John Mason (born c 1810) was a cattle dealer. He married Ann Maria Chappell in Leicester in 1845 and by 1851 they had moved to Wednesbury. They had seven children, the oldest being by great grandfather Thomas Chappell Mason. I have looked for john Mason's birth in parish records in Leicestershire for Hinckley, Sharnford and neighbouring parishes but cannot find him,
