Hi Brenda..
Sorry, nothing for their marriage.. The marriage may have taken place AFTER 1812 in which British Origins' St Andrew, Holborn ends at.
Here's one of the Newport that came up in that record..
St Andrew Holborn Marriage Index 1754 to 1812
Groom details Name William NEWPORT Age unknown Status batchelor Occupation County & Parish London St Andrew Holborn County & Parish as in Register London St Andrew, Holborn Register signed yes
Bride details Name Mary Ann HALL Age unknown Status spinster Occupation County & Parish London St Andrew Holborn County & Parish as in Register London St Andrew, Holborn Register signed yes
Other details How married licence Date 3 Dec 1780 Married by Sam'l GREEN 1st Witness W'm NEWPORT 2nd Witness Saraly NEWPORT Remarks
Sorry (I'm betting that if the record went past 1812, I'd find it)

Hi T,
Many Thanks for your kind offer, please could you see if you can find anything for the following: Daniel Dodson and Wife Jane, Daniel i think was born C1795, possibly Knaresborough as that is where their son George was born in c1822. Also Sarah Dodson c1798 (I think she may be Daniels sister) she married Henry Stookensmith (If you can find anything on Henry very much appreciated) on their daughters marriage cert Henry is listed as a Harp Maker, and his wife had remarried by 1833.
Many Thanks
Debbie

Hi T
Thankyou for replying.. Still in the process of finding birth reg for David and sending out all things possible for a match... I have met him and my sister says he took his fathers surname so I am assuming that my grandfather did change it legally.... But then someone said that he could have just told David's mother his name was Williams and she just put it on the birth cert as they were not so strict in matching up adults birth regs with the child in those days... I will keep plugging on...
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Karen,
I'm afraid British Origins wouldnt cover those years so therefor no available records after 1900s for that kind.
But here's my thoughts.. Have you actually found the birth ref of his son, David? If not, then maybe David himself named Williams when he got older after his father?
Williams is very tricky and common surname of course!

Hi Barbara..
No luck in the marriage, sorry (It stops at 1850)
And I'm afraid that I wont be able to look for George Ford as the records is too early for me to search.

Hello T in Middlesex
If you have time... I have a tricky one.. My Grandfather James Thomas Worboys b 1914 married Eunice E Grummitt my Grandmother... They had Geraldine Worboys in 1936 and my Father Garrick James Worboys in 1941 I have all the docs for these... What my problem is ...My Grandfather James Worboys was a jazz musician in London and he apparently changed his name to Jimmy Williams.. I thought it was a stage name and apparently was.. He did however remarry after divorcing my Grandmother and had a child I believe around 1955 called David Williams... I would like to see if there was a name change by deed poll to williams which would have been after 1941 I believe . I cannot find a death cert for him under Worboys in the 1970 = 1990's I was wondering how David could have been called Williams without a legal change in name by his father...
I hope this is not too much too ask..
Thanking you in advance
Karen Bailey (nee Worboys)

Hi all, sorry for not getting back to you all sooner.. I've no excuse for this (at times I wished there was an option of notification of replies!)
So to those who were waiting for me to search - is it still needed? If so, then please repeat the request.
