Name First name Catherine Last name Molloy
Memorial details Church/Graveyard KILMEENA OLD Description of Church/Graveyard This graveyard is situated about two miles east of the Westport to Newport road. The new church and graveyard are about 2-3 miles west of this site and have no pre 20th century memorials. However the latter have some fine modern Celtic crosses to the O’Malley family with symbols of the Crucifixion as well as the O’Malley coat of arms. This type of symbolism is otherwise unknown in this part of the county and while the symbols follow the traditional pattern found elsewhere in Ireland the inclusion of a saw is unusual. County Mayo Type GRAVEYARD Memorial Three associated memorials 1) Conduct to the glory O Lord the souls of thy servants John Mulloy died Feb 10th 1854 aged 86 years also his wife Catherine Mulloy alias Keary died July 12th 1858 aged 74 years Erected by their son Manus Mulloy 2) In loving memory of Manus Molloy Westport who died 24th Feb 1907 aged 35 years 3) In memory of Bridget wife of Eneas McDonnell and her parents Manus & Catherine Molloy nee Golden and her son Edward T. McDonnell who died in London April 5th 1946 aged 46 years Hope it helps will look for others Lorraine
