I'm looking for any info or connections regarding one of my ancestors Robert Weddell who was born in South Adams 1867/8. He was born to Jane/Jean McGavin aka Waddell or Weddell (who was Irish) and left Scotland for the Statespossibly with a man named James Sullivan. She later returned to Scotland with her son Robert and I've not been able to find anything more of them from 1871c and a 1874 Poor Relief Record. I've searched the Scottish records but found no death records for either of them. So I'm wondering if perhaps they returned to the States??? I dont have details of what ships the travelled on so if anyone could help with this too I would be very grateful. |
