Please would you look up the names Farady in Dublin and Keegan in Finglas part of Dublin. I have been searching for Farady, my father being William Farady born at the the Rotunda Hospital for many years.

This is a very long shot and it may be a little too early but could you see if there is a mention of a George Perry Miltown, Westmeath, a surgeon. I have him there in the 1850's. If he is there anything related to family would be gratefully received.

Description of Church/Graveyard According to a plaque the local residents to commemorate the 150th anniversary of its first foundation in 1837 rebuilt the Roman Catholic church. It is likely that burials date from this period. In the porch is a portrait of The Very Rev Peter Daly P.P.V.G. and Chairman of the Galway Town and Harbour Commissioners, 1791-1868. The graveyard has many ornate box tombs and memorials and indicates that it served the emerging Catholic gentry and merchants of the Town as well as the local agricultural community.

Church/Graveyard CLIFDEN CHURCH OF IRELAND
Description of Church/Graveyard A notice in the Church gives an extensive history of which the following is a précis. The first church was built by John D’Arcy of Clifden castle with a grant of £500 from the Board of First Fruits. He died in 1839 and his estate was inherited by his son Hyacinth who was forced to sell due to heavy mortgages and loss of rental during the Famine. Hyacinth D’Arcy had a leg amputated in 1837 and spent much of his time on his yacht to ease the weight on his leg before becoming trained as a Rector and was installed in the parish in 1851. He rebuilt the church in 1857. In 1961 it was partially rebuilt due to storm damage.

Description of Church/Graveyard Situated about one mile south of Clifden and mostly served the Catholic community. The quantity of large ornate high cross memorials indicates the increasing wealth of the Catholic merchant class from c. 1880. The older part of the graveyard is overgrown with mature trees, which may obscure earlier memorials centred around what appears to be a holy well.

Hi Lorraine I am looking for my great grangfather Daniel Fredrick O'Connell born in Ballydesmond about1839 he has 2 brothers Timothy and John, he arrived in Australia about 1856 but not sure how he got here I cann't find any records. Thank you any help will do.Irene

Could you find anything on Frederick Abercrombie married in England 1823 ( his children were born in England last one 1836) and died 1865 in Maynooth Kildare so sometime in between. He worked for the Duke of Leinster and his grandson Frederick James was born there 1854 son of George & Emma.
