I am trying to find anyone who knew Private Gladys Janet Spear also known as "Mickey", she was my wife's Mum. She was in the Auxilliary Territorial Service from March 1942 until December 1944. She served at 474th Battery, 209th Mixed Anti Aircraft Training Reg, 570th Heavy Mixed Anti Aircraft Battery and appointed Acting L/Corp July 1942. Posted to 570/170nd Regiment September 1942. Discharged December 1944. We have a Photograph of an chap in a RAF Uniform, known only as "Mike", we would dearly like to find anyone who would know this good looking chap, he was a dear friend of "Mickey's". |
